My Husband & I went on a weeks holiday (our first time without the kids in 19yrs).We stopped at "The Glass House"(its between Creston & Crawford Bay the Kootneys) it was built by a Doctor back in 1953-1963 (he raised his Family their for many years then eventually built a larger home beside this one),it was made out of 600,000 Embalmbing Bottles. There is no insulation in the house just the bottles with all the lids on them that has trapped air inside them for the insulation. The foundation of the house is one solid rock that over looks a lake.I only posted a few pictures of this Unique Place,so if you are ever down this way it is defenitely well worth the stop!!! XOXO DeeDee
